Default Heritage softail forward controls or floorboard extenders?

I just bought a 2004 heritage softail and I want to get either forward controls or extenders. What do you guys think would be the best choice and the most cost effective?

I got floorboard extenders from Arlen Ness...basically a pair of relocation plates with asst mounting holes...

DEFINATELY cheaper than forwards, but then again...I guess it really matter if you WANT forwards or boards.....

Hey Greg,
Not sure if this is an option for you but I have a 2003 Fatty. I put Linby bars on and all I did was move the position of the front shifter up so that I can use my Heel with it. It was really easy for me to get used to and I still have the option of using the heel shifter as well as the front shifter.

I have a set of extended reach forward controls. If you decide you want to switch maybe we can work something out.

Thanks, but chrome is a killer for me.

I'm planning to use the Arlen Ness kit. It has the right extended brake line kit for ABS.
