Thank you fellers. Hard to believe Ive been roaming this planet for 35 years lol.

Funny you mention about the velocity stack Jo. At a quick glance it looks like my current air cleaner might be in the way of the clip ons forcing me to position the right handle bar farther forward than Id like. I'll find out tomorrow.

Happy Birthday, Alain. With age comes wisdom - and from the looks of your second paragraph, you're justifying the RSD velocity stack like a seasoned veteran!

I'm afraid it's gonna be a slow process with these clip ons. I test rode the bike today for the first time after putting the breakout wheels on.

It's so much easier to ride. I forgot how the stock ride felt like after riding with the trail off for 6 years. The bike doesn't fight me anymore when I want to straighten out the front (especially at low speeds) and it's so easy to turn the handle bars now.

Anyway, the reason why these clip ons are going to be taking a back seat for now is that while riding today everytime I squeezed the front brake lever at speeds over 30 mph I kept hearing what I could only describe as a buzzing sound. It was so strange, it's definitely not a grinding noise. Nothing is binding in the front. I can't for the life of me figure out what the problem is.

I put brand new brake pads in the front. Not sure if that's what I'm hearing. Not sure that brake pads make any noise when they're brand new, just spit balling here.

The brake lever feels fine, it progressively gets stiffer as I squeeze the lever like it's supposed to.
I did make the mistake of overfilling the reservoir at first. I noticed cause it was leaking out a bit from between the cap and the reservoir as I was going down the road (no I didn't over tighten the cap). After I drained a little fluid out of the reservoir it stopped leaking but the buzzing noise was still there.

Anyone know what I'm talking about ?

Gonna start a new thread. Hopefully I'll get some help there
