Default Sportster tank on a rocker

You wanna see a rocker with a sportster tank ??
It's your lucky day today. Lolol. Took the tank off my ol lady's sportster this morning and slapped it on my sled. The wiring harness that is hidden under the dash on the stock gas tank would just be hidden underneath the gas tank (between the tank and the frame)

Totally changes the look of the bike. Bare with me, gotta put one pic up at a time lol.

Few issues off the bat.
1- the petcock on both bikes is totally in different positions so the hose that comes from the throttle body on the rocker is too long to finagle into the sportster tank. But I'm guessing that's easily fixed by changing the hose on the rocker to a shorter one and routing it differently.

2- the bottom mount of the sportster tank won't work with the mount on the frame of the rocker but I think that's an easy solution to just fab some kind of bracket or just move the bolt on the frame of the rocker (where the tank bolts to) up a little and drill a hole through the bracket that extends past the bottom portion of the sportster tank.

3- than there is the biggest issue (as far as I can tell) the hook up for the fuel pump is a totally different style than the one on the stock rocker tank. I don't know how the hell id get around that. Maybe get a fuel pump from a rocker and see if it'll fit in a sportster tank???

I'm eager to see what you guys suggest for a solution to that.

Other than that the tank sits pretty well on the frame. On the front you would have to get two 5 inch long brackets (kinda like the tank lift kits we use for the rocker's gas tank) to attach the front of the gas tank to the frame. It wouldn't look too bad, I'd just paint the brackets black and they would blend just fine into the rest of that area of the bike.

Oh, and the vent line on the sportster tank is on the bottom of the tank towards the rear and on the rocker is towards the front of the tank. That would have to be addressed as well. Shouldn't be too bad since the rocker's vent line runs along the frame right past the area where the sporster's vent line hook up would be.
Just cut and re-attach.

From the back. Here is the only thing I don't like looks wise. The seat sticks out too much farther than the tank in my opinion.

What do you guys think about that?

Mounting point in the rear. See what I mean about the bolt on the frame? And the bracket that extends past the tank?

Short risers would definitely not work. They would hit the tank. You would just need risers that are tall enough to clear it, a set that leans a way from the tank (towards the front of the bike) or CLIP ONS lololol.

Would give me another reason to get my clip ons lolol.

Picture a rocker with a sportster tank on it, clip ons and a fat bob dual head light with two HD day makers lolol.

Thats what im seeing in my head right now lolol

Position of the petcock on the sporty tank and the feed line, no where near eachother.

Hook up for the fuel pump in the sporty tank. Looks nothing like the end where it would attach to the rocker's harness.
No clue how to get around this.

Damn bro... that's looking pretty sick too. I would say to paint out the rest of the bike all black and you will indeed have the fastest bike.

Good job... some sick Rocker's on this site!
