Got bit! 2: The Therapy
We went to the dealer today and picked up the 03 Heritage Classic. We we gave the earnest money to the dealer on Monday, we told them we'd finish the sale on Thursday. However, when browsing the net on Tuesday, we saw that the dealer had listed the bike on Craigslist Tuesday at 4pm.
Well that had me wondering if they were trying to be opportunistic and taking advantage of the the time to possibly get a few more bucks. So, we decided to be at the dealers today when they opened the doors. Not too bad, they are only 45 minutes away.
On the way there, it started sprinkling and I thought - got my rain gear but I hope its not going to rain. Check Bing weather again, nope - no precipitation forecasted till the evening.
When we got there, they had the bike in the service area, with a sold sticker on it. Very normal. Looks like they were getting it ready, charging the battery, kicking the tires, etc. I didn't say anything to them about the Craigslist ad; I figured was a mistake.
Any way, we get the bike I don my rain gear just in case and we are off home. Runs nice, everything seems to work fine - wheels roll the right way. No problems.. Then the rain comes. And it's not just sprinkling - it's a down pour.
Get it home, and it stops raining. Well at least I can enjoy the rest of the day. Later, I take it out and just... ride..
After 100 miles I get back home and wipe her down.
It was a good day.
