Default First Outing !

So - I've been waiting for all the registration docs to come back ..... they did this morning

Did about 2hrs getting used to handling and everything and it performed great - big smile time !!

Couple of issues ...

The engine management light came on about 4 times ... I stopped, switched everything off and back on and it was fine for ages - couldn't see any pattern and one time it just went out on its own ? Any ideas gratefully appreciated - nothing changed running wise on the bike that I could tell

On full RH lock the throttle cables brush the tank - I can't see any way of rerouting and have twisted housing each way to see if that helps - but it doesn't .. so any tricks to stop it marking the tank would be good

Couple of pictures .... Its got new black mirrors ... new black air cover and round black horn cover ... replacement OEM rear pegs ....

Bassani fishtails and Wild Hog seats etc are on order

How old is the battery? You might want to get it tested.
Great looking bike.

I've run the diagnostic check as outlined Here and it only threw up one code

P0154 Rear O2 Sensor open not responding

As the bike is new to me I don't know if this has only just started etc so I've cleared the code and will check again after I next go out

Would this explain the check engine light ? or is that a different issue

Thanks

I can see that the bike has aftermarket pipes and a/c. it could be the previous owner had a piggy back type fuel manager on there and removed it before he traded it in/sold it. that could be why its throwing a code. it happened to me when I bought my used heritage.

Bike looks great. Sometimes I'm not very good at explaining things without adding a picture but I'll give it a try. On my Springer I relocated the turn signals down lower on my forks to clean up the bars a little. When that was done, behind the turn signal relocating bracket on the right side, where it attached to the forks, there is a loop of wire that was installed behind the signal relocation bracket. My cables were rerouted through that loop that is about 3/4" by 1". I can turn my bars all the way to the right and they don't touch my tank. It is an easy fix, hope this helps.
