Its a AGM so that's good. Check the specs on your existing battery and make sure they match. If you are worried about storage over the winter and don't want to use a battery tender, a lithium battery will last about a year without discharging. But will cost at least $200. They also weigh less but on a Softail, probably does not matter.

A lot of my riding brothers experiment with different batteries. I have good luck with HD OEM batteries. My last Harley battery lasted 6.5 year.

The HD battery in my sportster lasted about 3 years, the stock HD battery in my FLSTFB lasted less than 2 1/2. Going on 2 1/2 with a Deka Big Crank and not yet a hiccup (except the time my negative terminal cable was loose and sparking and ended up melting half the terminal.. but um.. not the battery's fault)

Thanks, I have had bad luck with my two harley batteries. On my 2009 electra i had to buy a new bat. at a little over a year. On this bike (2013 fatboy) I bought in oct 31st of 2012 is already cranking very slow. I was trying to get a higher cca battery.

I contacted the company an this was the reply:

The WPX20L-LS 20ah Lightning Start battery is a state-of-the-art battery that offers maximum starting power for Harleys. The oem Harley battery is rated at approximately 310cca, while the Lightning Start battery is rated at 500cca, particularly to meet the demands of custom bikes with enhanced engines and bikes with multiple accessories that require more starting power.
The new Zinc Alloy terminals increase the electrical conductivity by up to 3.6 times over the traditional standard lead terminal design and offer greater resistance to corrosion and oxidation.
Power Source manufacturers the Lightning Start Battery and is a leader in the powersport industry offering their powersport batteries in approximately 1,500 retail shops, mainly throughout the Western United States.

If it fit, get it. Remember most battery and cranking problems are due to loose battery cables. You should check cables for tightest at lease every three months. You'll be surprised at how loose battery cables get from these shaking monsters.

this is what I bought 3yrs ago.. after my Org HD batt lasted almost 5yrs to the day..

Its rated what the stock Battery is,, whick its 310..

I read yrs ago, the more CCA in a batt that's the same size,, then the plates have to be thinner inside the batt.. Which is not good for a bike that viberates like a Hd does...

Each to their own...

I'll just say the 310 CCA does an excellent job of turning over my 96''er with cams...

Just MO...
