No no, the wires will be internal...I mean less work as there wont be a need to feed the wires out. I should have been a bit more clear in my statement, sorry.

The beefy bars and risers go really nice with the design of the SLIM front end.

Yes, they do...to me, anything less than 1.25" just looks too thin, and I think that 1.5" would have been too thick. The 1.25"s seem to be the "Goldilocks" size for the Slim.

The next project is going to be pipes (V&H Big Shots Long) and some bigger, new saddle bags. As LeatherworksInc is just in Stockton (60 miles away) I may see if I can set an appointment to ride down there and see what they have that will fit the bill. I love the bags I have now, but they are a bit small...lowering the top pipe would allow for deeper bags.

I find there’s a general rule of apes and if it’s not followed, it looks strange to me. Wider at the bottom for touring front ends and narrower for FX front ends. Thicker bars also look a little weird on a FX front end too. I guess I just like that classic look of having the lines flow. I saw an FX front end with the wider bottom bars that stuck out wider than the top of the triple tree.

Dutch, your bike rocks!
Do you mind telling what model of Leatherworks bags those are?
I've been fretting about having to move my rear blinkers and would rather keep the original look but want to add some bags for overnighters.

Those are the standard pony express bags. I like them but the are rather smallish. I'm planning on purchasing bigger bags once I change my pipes
