What's assigning about your remark is that the likelihood of whatever you are riding being any less common, conformist or passé is probably nil. Anymore, anything that is truly unique tends to be something totally off the wall...a total one-off ride. Or maybe that's what you ride? Care to show us some pics of your most original and non-conformist motorcycle?

I'm still on my way finding the ultimate balance of black and chrome. Took off some of the stock black parts and exchanged them with chromed ones. Next to come are braided brake lines and cables. Think I will also put on some chrome wheels next riding season but keep my stock black rims in case it turns out to be too much.
In the long run I'll probably go for a custom paint job as well to put on some 'color'. The black base color will remain, though.

The trend for quite some time now has been to black everything out. Who is taking a bike that was headed down the path of being blacked out and removing the black parts with either polished, chrome, painted, other colors of powder coat, or anything other than black? Just curious who's not blacking out everything.

I understand what the original post is getting at. I don't like all black any more than I like all chrome. On certain bikes, either can look great. For me, I've replaced some of the stock polished parts with black, and I replaced some of the stock black parts with chrome. To me, I reached the perfect look for my bike with the right balance. I need to update my signature pic because it looks much different now.
