Tomorrow we are going to look at painting the front forks since they are all pitted. Thinking of trying to restore the chrome or just paint it silver. Maybe black.... Also we are going to remove the back wheel and try to clean it up and make it look new. Then we are going to start putting pieces together, fenders, etc.

As promised, updates will continue

Best and easiest thing to do with the lowers is buy two cans of rustoleum epoxy appliance paint and do it yourself. They come out simply awesome. Follow Joe's thread in the paint and powder subforum, he is the Powder Pro. Jrk5982.

Good luck on your project. Looks like you've already got a good start on it.

Danny,

It doesn't look like your front fork lowers have been chromed. It looks like they are polished aluminum with plastic clear coat over them. I took mine off and had them polished along with my front rotor for $80. Just an idea.

One major PITA your going to discover, there are some 94' only exclusive parts that are hard to find and more expensive.

I didn't help much today, I was busy at a fund raiser and teaching my lil sis how to drive lol... But here's some pics of what my dad did.

Before forks:

After:

Headlight and wheel installed:

Oil pan on but not connected:

Didn't get a photo of it, but we mounted the front brake
