Default Paint advice for my Breakout

I made the mistake today of having to leave my bike in a pretty bad part of town for about 15 minutes and in that time some little @#!& has keyed my tank and fender. It's not going to polish out.

So.... my dilemma....

Can any one tell me how much a new set of replacement tins (tank and fender) would be? I can't use parts finder on my android unfortunately.

Secondly, there's always the opportunity to go and get a new paint job but that's not going to be easy while I'm living here. Anyone seen any single color decent paint work on a Breakout? Thinking a dark green almost olive drab or dark gun metal grey? Haven't given this much thought before as new paint wasn't on the plans!!

I would leave it until you're in a different location where new paint would be safer. And then a custom color like you're thinking would be really cool and also unique. I'm partial to your dark gray idea but that's just me. Gun metal gray trimmed in black would be awesome.

Good luck finding a used set of tins for a breakout. Your better off getting it painted. Or better yet, get some touch-up paint. I'm sure the MoCo has exact color. Do they have Craigslist in Chile?

Sorry I meant the cost of new tins from Surdyke or similar...

There are only about six Breakouts here in Chile so I think the guys might notice if I ripped off their tanks!

Michael - I wish I was more patient but there is no way I can last another 12 months in this place before I get this fixed!

Try doing plastidip for now. You can try different colors and later have it painted.

Default Leave the bike as is

fix the bike so it's pretty again and it will attract another lowlife to vandalize.
