I was curious to know if anyone here as anything to say about the Patriot Defender exhaust? If you do, please post your comments on the product!

They work well, Mine has been on since 2012 and has held up well (close to 40,000 miles.) The adjustable baffle does vary the volume, but if you don't move it back and forth regularly, it will seize up and become permanently stuck.

Adjust your fuel ratio for where you'll ride it as far as the baffle goes, or adjust it when the baffle is wide open and let it run a little rich when you have to close it up.

Good product at a very reasonable price IMO.

I have one as well. Love it. I ran a clutch cable up to the bracket where the horn goes so I can open or close it by pulling the cable, made a handle out of some .22lr grips from my NAA pug. I live in a nice community and don't want to **** anyone off. It sounds like a little Honda when it is closed, and roars when open. Best of both worlds. I have a VH fuelpac and they have a set of codes for it. I have not seen any difference in performance when it is closed.

I'm happy with this one after 3 years. It came with a ?flexible? ?springy? piece of piano wire to fix the adjustment instead of a cable. I set the valve all the way closed and like the sound there. I think as the RPMs pick up the exhaust pressure pushes the valve open more.

I ran one on my 99 fatboy an it had a unique sound. Def better than the short shots I replaced with it. I just left the baffle open all the time. Seemed like mine kinda discolored a little after a while...lost the bright chrome look.
