Hey Skeez... I love this offering from speed dealer customs. I have their oil cap already and it is a HIGH quality piece.

THe only thing that keeps me from buying it is they don't have a matching one to cover the fuel gauge side. THey are supposed to have a left side in the works. I'm holding out hope.

Gotta see if I can throw up a photo of my new tank so that folks can maybe make suggestions like this even if it's not something they happen to be running.

I bought a cheap ebay one for around $30 or so.
Out of the box, the paint had some imperfections as to be expected. Overall the cap itself is a quality part though and sits flush and looks pretty good.
After a couple of days looking at it, I sanded it down to the metal, primered, painted and cleared it....looks 100% better.

Does yours simply thread in and it has a trim ring to go around the tank opening?
And speaking of painting; I thought about that as a short term solution with regards to my stock cap and gauge. I'd rather PC them if I can but I can't really tell that I can disassemble them in order to separate the metal tops from the rest of the unit. Has anyone tried this?
Below is the only photo of my new tank that I have handy. It's a brand new Softail Slim tank with Harley Hard Candy Custom paint job but it's going on a 2008 Crossbones with a bobber job and lots of gloss black and bits of chrome. It'll have the stock Crossbones cateye console which got a fresh gloss black powdercoat last week.

Bastages, is nothing safe anymore!
I just saw they have an "adapter" on their site which basically gets rid of the fuel gauge and allows you to thread in another "dummy" gas cap...not sure I like that idea. I would badly miss my fuel gauge...especially now that I did a tank lift.
Dig your velocity stack...who makes it?

So the one you are running is metal? I was at the dealer yesterday and they had a Breakout with one of the Harley brand pop up caps in gloss black and it felt like it was entirely made of plastic. I could be wrong but I was a bit surprised by it.
