slide down the rubber boot that covers the adjustment bolt ( front of frame / below gas tank ) ...undo lock nut and twist the adjuster to loosen the cable as much as possible . there is a small clip under the pin on clutch lever perch....remove it carefully . remove the pin and slide out the lever....remove the brass cable pin and remove the lever . reverse to install .

Welcome to the forum.

The easiest way to replace the clutch lever is to remove the old one first. Just pulling your chain.

I'll ask the obvious question. Do you have a service manual for your '06 Springer Softail? If not, it's time to get one. It's the best $48 you'll ever spend.

Before you ask, HD manuals only come in hardcopy from dealers (ie: you cannot download them). This is the best price you'll find.

The pearl for removing the clutch lever is this:

DON'T lose the retaining (snap) ring that holds the pivot pin in place.

Only Hard copy? I have one for my Heritage that is digital. Has Very nice. I can access it on my phone, PC or anywhere with internet. If I need a portion in hard copy I print that section.
