My stem was taped up before powder coating.

Hey man,not on a Breakout, but I just did this to my Softail.I just ended up R&R'ing the bottom bearing, and taping off the bottom of the post where the bearing seats.Threw the trees in the freezer for a day, heated the new bearing for a few minutes in my powder oven, and it dropped right on w/o even tapping it down.Easy peasy.Dont forget to cover the stem nut threads.

Stem doesn't "have" to be pressed out, just taped off. I pressed my stem when I did my trees just so I could clean the **** out of everything and sandblast it for a better surface. Also changed the bearing before I put it back together.
