If that was helpful, here is the other one I use, it is from Great Britain, but it is more detailed.

What size socket did you use to get the rear axle nut off?

Just don`t is not a reason.

If you have a reason, state it...

I have the tires at an Indy getting them mounted. The socket is 36mm. I am also having all the wheel bearing replaced with the Nachi 6205s. My rear bearing was totally frozen up... I will post pic if I get them back. It's std HD bearing.

Lang makes a great speed wrench for the axle.. works great in tight spaces...http://www.ntxtools.com/network-tool.../KAS-9636.html unlike the bike it's made in the USA. $48 cheapest I have seen it.

Thanks going after the 36 mm tonight. Going to tackle this in the morning. Already have the new tire mounted on a new REAPER rear wheel. Will be putting this on the back with a 18" Stinger front wheel going on. The Stinger front wheel is a little bit taller and I got a great price on it. Should look pretty good. Will post pictures.

Hopefully, the caliper will cooperate!

Went to Lowe's, could not find a 36 mm. Went to my brothers house and he had a 1 7/16 and 1 3/8. The 1 7/16 fit pretty tight.

Did you have to remove the pads from the caliper in order to get the caliper off?

All good advice above. I just used a big crescent wrench to tackle my rear axle nut.

The other thing I would ad is to put a shop rag or towel over your tire and let it hang down enough come between your wheel and caliper when pulling it. This will pad your rim from getting dinged. Works for me...
