Heritage: Princess (I swear the bike chose it, not me)
Kawisaki bobber: Bobbi
Mini JCW: El Pequeno Diablo

Mitsubishi Pajero: The Beast
I haven't named any motorcycles and the wife hasn't given hers a name either ....we both know what we're saying when we mention our pick up truck "Miss Piggy" - she's always thirsty for some fuel !

Ok, you and princess run along now, and have a good time!
WTF? My bike is called "the bike" and my car is called "the car". You Americans are weird :-)
if it were as simple as having just one car and one bike, then yeah, I can see your point.
However, as Americans, we are simply never satisfied. As such, the cars and bikes need some way to differentiate between them.
Now my truck is simply my truck. My hot rod is "The Blue Car." This was to differentiate between the "Silver Car" and the "Green Car" both of which have been sold. So I reckon the "Blue Car" could just be called "The Car" but it's been "The Blue Car" for so long, there's just no going back!
then the three bikes as I've outlined before, "blue (sportster}, black (Triumph Bonneville) and big black (softtail)"
I hope that helps to clarify the dilemma we have in America!
