Default Help me! I want to replace BCM

Hello
I want to replace BCM on my bike ( Breakout cvo 2014).
I can program the new BCM. But, I don't know after I programmed BCM , do I must learn new BCM with ECM? ( as TSM/TSSM ECM Password Learn Procedure)
thank you.

This is out of a '12 Deluxe manual - I'd guess it's similar. All it states is that "After replacing the BCM, configuration/password learn must be accomplished using DIGITAL TECHNICIAN II".

Hope this helps. If it doesn't work you can always reinstall your original.

Just curious as to why you are replacing the BCM.

Got to have dealership do it and reprogram with the Digital tech. That way a stolen bike just can't have a replacement BCM and go on with a new code. 2014 CVO breakout should be under warranty as well as the BCM.

Hummmmmm smells fishy in here.

Something doesn't seem right indeed.

hey,

the BCM (Body Control Module) is what provides power to all electrical components on the bike.. (Fuel pump, headlight, etc) it eliminates fuses and relays... it is a module that looks quite similar to the ECM.. and it is controlled by the ECM.. pretty smart idea to eliminate fuse and relay blocks.. the big issue is when it fails for one component... you have to replace it..

I have experience with the BCM.. there was a recall for 2011.. the connector was not assembled properly and caused water to get in and damage the part that controls the fuel pump.. it made my bike stall at random times.. luckily I am good with electronics because when I went to the Harley dealer for repairs under warranty, the manager told me that I caused the problem by modifying the bike ?? hell.. soo.. what I did was to run the power to the fuel pump from the unused auxiliary lights power port... problem solved..

http://www.autoevolution.com/news/20...ght-77874.html
My bike is fault braking light, I know it is a fault of Harley factory's.
In my country (Viet Nam) , the export my bike is very very difficult.
I have bougt a motorcycle tool, which can reprogram new BCM. So, I don't know when I replaced BCM, I must learn BCM with ECM.
Any help.Thanks!

In a matter of a few months ... poster had issues with a 2010 Touring, 2009 Touring and now a 2014 Breakout. That post history.
