Default Anybody modified a stock Heritage seat?

I've got a Deluxe, and the stock seat puts me too far forward. I also have (several) other seats, including a stock Heritage seat. But I like the look of a Springer seat (with the rail), and I actually find the stock Heritage seat comfortable. I have a Springer rail on order.

Has anyone modified the stocker from a Heritage to accept a springer rail? I thought I had seen a picture of one, but after going through 200 pages of Heritage and Deluxe pics on the forum, I haven't found it.

Why not put the springer rail on the deluxe seat and mod the deluxe seat to set you back. I did this my self and love the seat. Removed the cover and used a combo of hack saw blade and sander to reshape (remove foam from the back). On the deluxe seat the foam at the rear is a convex curve ,meaning it sticks out and thats what pushes you forward. I trimmed and sanded to make that a concave curve that set me back and I also removed about a half inch of foam to set me lower. Covered the foam with seran wrap to help keep water out when it gets washed and put the cover back on pulled it taught and re stapled it. It is now the most comfortable seat I have. I have a heritage and heritage springer seats as well and the reworked deluxe is the best.

Does the seat look right?. The cover was cut to fit the original foam, right? So if you removed foam, does the cover fit right?. I'd love to see a picture.

Very sharp. Looks like I may have to investigate that as a option for my Heritage.
