That gives me an idea for a suggestion - take them to a sign store and see if they'll copy them in vinyl with adhesive backing. Black, white, & silver should be pretty easy.
But if you're determined to use the ones you have, like others have mentioned - the center should be about where your picture currently shows the back edge.

My brother just did this with his Iron 883.....painted the tank, and then took a picture of the orig. tank logos, and they made vinyl stickers for him. Looks great.
