I like those badges, gives your scoot a nice look. Like mentioned above, bring the badges back a lil to the flatter side of the tank. I wouldn't trash em just yet. Try heating them up in the oven, see if they bend a lil more.

you dont need badges.. just remove the baffles and let the bike speak for itself.

That gives me an idea for a suggestion - take them to a sign store and see if they'll copy them in vinyl with adhesive backing. Black, white, & silver should be pretty easy.

But if you're determined to use the ones you have, like others have mentioned - the center should be about where your picture currently shows the back edge.

Those are one of my favorite HD badges. I think they help break up all the black a little bit.

My brother just did this with his Iron 883.....painted the tank, and then took a picture of the orig. tank logos, and they made vinyl stickers for him. Looks great.

The 1961-2 style star badges look great and are curved to fit forward on the tank like that. The badges you are trying to bend were designed to sit farther back.

Here is an example of the 66" style bages you are using http://hdpaint.tk/gallery/original_p...1966-1978.html

Click on the 1966 tab . This site has many examples of correct paint and emblem placement
