Here is an example of the 66" style bages you are using http://hdpaint.tk/gallery/original_p...1966-1978.html
Click on the 1966 tab . This site has many examples of correct paint and emblem placement

great link thanks pipeyeti......I do note the correct position as also others have pointed out and also, the emblems do have a curve to them and the old FLH tanks Im sure are larger (appear to be anyway)

Now THAT's the way a slim should look. I don't know what those fools at the MoCo were thinking with this bike... unless you are supposed to have your bike look like you bought a bunch of stuff from a swap meet and threw it together... and they thought it would be a cool idea.
I agree with the low slung fishtails... of course they routed the exhaust all wrong on this bike, just like a fat boy... unless you never have a passenger on the bike.
Did you buy the lower legs and cowbells or did you power coat them? I am always concerned about powerder coated lower legs... and so I was wondering if a Road King nacelle would fit so the whole front could have a dull chrome look... to match the goofy choice of engine cover finishes on a black engine. I have to admit that the engine covers don't bother me when you get more black on the bike.
I would also have to go with no front fender or find one that is a little longer... I am old school and I don't remember anyone using a front fender that looks like the ones that Harley puts on their "chopper" looks.
Those emblems are what belongs on that look, also.
Good job!
