Default New to me '10 Fatboy

Hey all, I am back on a HD after a 3-4 year break. I had a 2010 Road King Classic that I ended up selling after a couple years to get my finances in order. I got into this Fatboy in a bittersweet way. This was my uncles and he passed away unexpectedly last month. His only daughter pretty much gave it away so I scooped it up.

It's a 2010 with about 6,700 miles on it. Not sure what all is done to it, but I know it is missing the heel shifter (assuming it's standard on them based off other pictures), has an oil temp gauge, looks like aftermarket 1-piece seat and windshield.

It's a cool bike and rides smoother on the roads than my Road King from memory. One downside is I am not impressed with the brakes coming from the RK.

I may end up trading for an Electra Glide Classic next year because I was looking at getting into one this year. This situation is unfortunate but it's nice to ride something that reminds me of my uncle at the same time. Currently looking at getting a passenger backrest and some bags to tie me over this year with it.

Yesterday was the first time riding it. Forgot how much I missed it. Racked up 130 miles, half with the GF on the back. Fun times. It will be even more fun when the GF has a place to lean on and not holding onto me for dear life

Nice ride. BE CAREFUL, the more you ride it, the more you will forget about an Electra Glide, unless you plan on needing one for touring.

The heel shifter is an easy add on, yes it came with one. I actually prefer not having one. The good news, I see you are already equipped for a detachable sissy bar. It looks like the mounts are there and the lights have been relocated. Just go pick one up and throw it on. I take mine off when the OL is not riding with me.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure that the bolts are for a bar because only one set are posts. Shouldn't there be another set in the back? The lights look to be stock location from pictures I compare them to.

I think I saw the heel shifter at the house so my dad is going to swing by and take a look.

You are correct about the mount. I did not blow up the pic large enough. Still a GREAT looking bike.

Looks like a Sundowner seat. I found that seat to be very uncomfortable, but everyone's *** is different. Love my Corbin Classic Solo

Looks nice. I also prefer the heel shifter off, had my jeans catch in them a couple times.

The seat I thought was pretty comfortable. Way better than my stock RK was.

I got the heel shifter here in my office now. I love it on the RK. Will see if I feel the same on this bike.

Is that speedo/tach stock? Looks like most I see are just a regular speedometer.

The speedo/tach is not stock and was upgraded.

It also looks like a different set of handle bars
