Default Well, I'm a smarter man after today

Here's a pic of my step-son as I was giving him a bit of a riding lesson on the new breakout. Had him testing the clutch...rocking it back and forth for a few minutes while he got used to it. Suddenly he dropped the clutch...the bike kicked into gear and he tore across the street...hopped the opposite curb...went through the neighbors flowers...somehow turned...missed the mailbox...kicked it into neutral and somehow stopped. Stayed upright the whole time. He can get the rest of his lessons at a rider's edge course. Yikes! #closecall

Very glad it worked out OK!!
You brought back some old memories for me...LOL. When I was younger, I use to ride hot 2 stroke dirt bikes and my old man cam out one day and said he wanted to try it...
I was doing the same thing with him, when he dropped it into first and was gone!!! Straight out the driveway, across the street, across the neighbors lawn and then dumps it on their lawn!!!! Everyone and the bike were fine, but the old man told me and my buddies we were all nuts to ride those things...LOL.
He never asked again...
Ride safe.

Good everyone is ok. I wouldn't let the guy who got me through my test on my own bike let alone someone trying to learn

Glad he is ok. Stole my older brothers HD Sprint while he was in the navy and rode the neighborhood at 13 yrs old or so. To fast in a turn and went through a drain colvert and flipped up in to some ladies yard. Luckily everything ok as I slowly limped home. No more joy rides.
