Questions from a Harley noob
Hi Team,
I have a couple of small things on my used 2007 Deuce that need attending. Nothing critical but I don't know where to start.
New stainless nuts, bolts, and washers here and there, no problem - lots of
help from the forums on that.
Tiny tear on the seat 1/16" X 1/8":
There's a few nicks on this sticker - what's the best way to get it off the cover?
Lastly, not a problem, but query on biker lore. I read about Gremlin Bells.
Even *I* have figured out that the first rule of a used Harley is "Thou shalt
not F-- with the Mojo of any motorcycle", is it ok to re-hang the bell with
better hardware?
Thanks!

You could use a hair dryer to help with the sticker removal
Use whatever you want on your Gremlin bell.

The sticker appears to be on the football. Easy fix, remove the football and toss it out for a high flow AC. I can't really tell from you pic of the seat but it looks more like a scratch than a tear, but yes, if it is torn, vinyl repair kit will fix it.
The gremlin bell is actually in the wrong place anyway if you believe the hype. It is supposed to be as low as possible on the bike to fend away any gremlins from hopping on your ride as you go down the road. Bah! Fix it or don't, how isn't important in my opinion, it's your scoot now. Just get out and ride.

Peel off the sticker then remove the glue left behind with Brake Cleaner or even WD40.
Since you are apparently new to Harley's, I'll give you the best advice you'll ever receive. Purchase a Harley Service Manual! Roughly 60 bucks through your local Harley dealer. It will be the best money you'll spend on your bike.

Team!
Thank you all for the help and good cheer! I've got Brother Joe Cocker singing "Ring them Bells" ;-)
Sticker Gone - Thank you Jtarter, the Heat Shrink gun peeled it in nothing flat and the Goo Gone made it pretty.
Vinyl tear patched and not too terrible color matched for a first timer! Thank you Iceman24!
And Cocky, I hung the bell in the right place to keep them critters at bay!
Thanks for a great first weekend as Harley driver!
Ride Safe, Check 6
