Default 91 softail over heating rear disk to concavity

Have replaced every part in the 91 softail FXSTC rear brake system except reservoir hose. Believe it is deteriorating internally and clogging tiny feedback hole in rear brake cylinder. Anyone know what the ID for this 24" hose is? Running DOT 5 Silicone fluid. Hose is 23 yrs old so its the last man standing as far as parts replacement. Last 11.5" disk on the spoke hub overheated so bad it left 1/2" concave arch in the disk. All within 5 mile stretch towards home of course. thanks.

You replace the hose as an assembly, order the one for your bike.

Similar thing happened to my bike...my wheel bearing was failing on that wheel and the brake rotor was helping to keep the wheel in place badly...the brake heating up was the warning...
Maybe check it just to be safe...
Good luck...

Hey Rodzilla, as a matter of fact the rear OEM spoke hub has preload issues. So its possible the new rebuilt kit for the hub was shimmed incorrectly (has .003" play) and the timkin is making the brake carry the centering load. I will add a .002 shim to end up with .005 endplay on the timkins. The rear caliper is all new
