Vance and Hines Slip Ons for Heritage
Hey guys. I'm debating going ahead and ordering a set of V&H for my Heritage. I'm not in a position to do a full exhaust replacement so debating going with a slip on option to at least give me a decent sound and look.
Though they aren't the highest dollar option, I've read the Straightshot HS slip ons have a decent sound and great look. Anyone have any experience with them or can tell me if they are good? Also, I see it has removable baffles so if they aren't quite loud enough, would taking the baffles out be too much?
These are the ones I'm referring to:

I bought my 2003 Heritage Classic 3 weeks ago and it came with Screaming Eagle II slip ons and screaming eagle air filter with K&N filter and it ran like **** on the 150 mile ride home and the decel popping was crazy. I put a power commander 5 with a map from PC for my set up and it smoothed out the bike and all but ended the popping, so you might find you may not need one but might want a Fuel Pak or PC5

Around this part of the country Russ is the most popular slip-ons (get the 1 3/4 baffles). for a little more low end torque in an other wise stock motor. -- or 2'' for a little louder, I got the 2'' baffles because I knew I was going to add HP-AC and cams..
Just saying at least check them out.. you can hear them if you click on the sound bites at the bottom.

I've had mine since the 1k service back in 07, that was 51K miles ago and I still like them.. they have a deeper and throatier sound than most V&H's and if you really get on it, they will set off parked car-alarms when you pass by.
