Heritage Classic rear fender movement?
Just wondering if this is normal? I have to 2011 and when it's on the kick stand I can pull the fender to the right and left fairly easily. It seems like the whole bike shifts at the same time though. Is this just the way the softail is, maybe everything is rubber mounted or something? It does feel a little "squirmy" compared to my last bike (Non Harley) but again I'm thinking it might just be the nature of these frames and suspension? Can someone else grab their rear fender on a heritage and pull side to side and see if it seems to have some movement or is it rock solid?

Rock solid, no, but it does not feel squirmy. Perhaps your struts are loose? Have you put a wrench on the mounts to make sure they are tight?

Struts are tight, I think it may just be the fender itself flexing, it's not much, I'm probably over thinking it! Thanks.

My 2008 is the same way. Just flex in the sheet metal . Don't think it's a concern.

My 2012 has some movement to it. Never had a problem.

My '94 has some wiggle, but it's just the fender flexing. Frame is still solid.

I checked one in the dealership and looks like they all do it. Must be the fender thickness is a little thinner than my other bikes.

Should you ever remove the fender via the struts then from the struts you'll see why the flex. Nothin to worry about as long as everything is torqued to specs.

My bike does the same thing and it even worse if you add hard bags. Im gonna try and re enforce the whole assembly because it shouldnt move at all. Gell my cheapo 3000 yamaha even had a solid rear fender with no movement. Its unacceptable IMO
