I'm really happy with the power & sound I'm getting out of my fishtails with them.

You can try adjusting the angle a bit to get a different sound, or give the TTI's a try...sometimes the flat of the thumbscrew or lollipop will have a bit of weird ppphpps sound. It will even to it with the TTI's in some circumstances, adjust the angle can help.

Back in the old days, LOL, the "old" guys (older than me...) told us teenagers with popping bikes to put a splitter in the exhaust. They used to drill a hole and put a bolt thru the center of the exhaust, to split the flow and put just a little back pressure in the system.
Looks like the undated version here. I wonder which works better. Adjustable with the thumb screw...
You guys have me thinking, but I think I would use Kevin's/DK product first.

I think it's about the pressure waves...did you watch the video? The slinky explanation makes a ton of sense.
I have small ½ thumbscrews in my pipes, they aren't creating any back pressure, but evidently interrupting the pressure waves and allowing the exhaust to exit the chamber properly makes all the difference. I can tell you, it's a great power gain.

Very Impressed
I bought both the 118's and the 158's with the intentions of experimenting a little. Pulled out my baffles and drilled out the original holes to fit the TTI threaded stem. I couldn't get the 118 centered in the baffle, there just wasn't enough thread to work in my baffle. Said screw it and left the baffles out and installed the 158's in the original hole for my baffle which left them a little further up from the tip than the 1/2 to 2" that the instructions recommended. I could tell a difference in sound right away a quick ride around the block and it felt like it made a difference. Went for an hour long ride with the OL and the throttle felt much more responsive. My bike had this "flat area" around the 1800-2500 range and the throttle response in that area was greatly improved. One unexpected outcome was the bike was so much smoother on decell, it was pretty "grumpy" before with an occasional pop and all that noise is gone now. Even the OL said she noticed how much smoother the bike was overall. I'm very happy with the results, never thought something so simple could make such a big difference.
