My pic is a complete Calvary kit, bags and hardware. Yes they are supported on the bottom as well.
How stable are they at the bottom?
Do these bags open inside out and Very quick and easy like a police bag?
I want a setup that's rock solid

Edit: I see that they don't open like the new touring bags..Deal breaker for me but maybe the mounts would be useful..

I just bought a set Of police saddlebags, the ones with the hockey puck opener..
Why the hell weren't all of em designed like this in the first place?
Now I'll make sure I can find the strongest mounts

The calvary mounts arent that great as they do not provide support for the bottom of the bags. Stick with mounts that run a tubular bar under the bags just like the touring bikes do.

Something else I just find out:
Cyclevision baggertails say they won't work with passenger floor boards,
My HD parts dept says Harley doesn't make brackets for this
but sell the baggertail, they will let me install them and try out a
hardbag of theirs to see if my floorboards will work if they're down all the time..
Still they have to be usable tho..
Sooo, maybe someone has this same setup can chime in?
Thx

Default baggies

Well I went with the Road King Classic bags on both my Fatboy Lo and Crossbones. To me it seems to be a better fit with the type of bike it is but beauty is in the eye as they say. As far as the blinkers I put cyclevisions led lights that you cut into the bag. Clean but have others tell me not very bright from a distance. This was on my Fatboy. When I put the bags on my Crossbones I just remounted the stock blinkers to the inside lower corner of the bag and like someone else showed here put the autogem lights on the end of the struts. I think it looks good and there's a lot of light on the bike which is another thing I like. Riding buddies know it's me from along ways away. I installed the Badlands blinker, taillight, stoplight module on both rigs and like I said am a big fan of lots of taillights for the blind people behind me. If I wasn't a retard I'd post pics but wife isn't here to hold my hand.

Just put bags on the wife's Fatboy Lo using Cycle Visions kit. After the installation I realized the cheap Ebay mounts would have been a bad idea. The stabilizer bar that connects the mounts is really needed otherwise the bags with just rattle all over the place, possibly causing stress damage over time. It was a very noticeable difference. I asked the question before I bought the mounts and I am glad I listened to the people in this forum...
