Well... The cyclevisions kit is about $250.00. And I have been seeing stock hardbags at alot of swap meets for dirt cheap. $150-200. Turns out the prices have dropped alot because everyone is going to stretched bags. Just my $.02

Can you provide me some links?

I have looked at eBay and then it all gets confusing since I have none right now and don't know exactly what I will need.

Adding bags....hmmm...I just did this. Here's what you are up against:
Extended bags with lids, un-painted with hardware and latches from dirtbag baggers is $450. I've seen similar setups and the cheapest around seem to be around that price range.

You need a bag mount kit. Cheap ones on ebay are around $120 - $175 but does not come with a bracket that stabilizes the bags. Cyclevisions and Baddad sell better mounts and they are between $250 - $350.

Then you gotta paint your bags....figure $500.

Cost you over $1k or more.

Or you can get lucky like me.

I went with regular OEM sized bags.....found them on ebay all HD and HD hardware and same black cherry color and pin stripes as my bike for $330 shipped. Added cyclevisions baggertail for $250 shipped no tax. Not bad.

I love the amount of storage the hard bags give me on my fat boy lo. there are only 2 dowfalls of hardbags.

1) need new blinkers as the stock ones no longer fit

2) Looks a little awkward without the filler panels. The CycleVisions kit is available with filler panels. I am in the process of just making my own.

My pic is a complete Calvary kit, bags and hardware. Yes they are supported on the bottom as well.
