Intalled DK Customs drop in LED bulb in my Slim

As I understand it, you don't get the true effect of an LED bulb unless you change the deflector and lens... do those of you who made the change still consider the plug in LED bulb that much more effective than stock without changing the deflector and lens?

First of all the bulbs might look the same but their quality isn't and we have no way of knowing it until after the purchase.I trust our sponsors to be honest with their depiction of the item they're selling, therefore I will always prefer them over an unknown e-bay seller. This Forum wouldn't be here without their sponsorship.

I installed LED headlamp bulb and the stock light diffuser is still being used. (That cone thingy is still intact in the headlamp.)

Less heat, less draw on battery and no code. The small red light on my speedometer stays on but that is not a big deal to me. As stated the led has almost no current draw and as a result the system thinks the stock bulb is blown so the red light stays on.
