I thank DK for researching these and selling us ones that they have spent the time and money to vet. I've bought too much cheap junk on eBay and wasted my money. Wish I'd seen these back when I made my LED decision because my LED is hard to see during the day.

Plus I like to support a small businessman trying to put food on his table.

I'd like to see some comparative shots at night....

We warranty them for one year. If it stops working, simply return it to us and we will replace it at no charge.

Thank you for the replies. I had no idea there was a fan involved in the set up. Must be what I am hearing. The lights are great. Thank you!

Anyone?

Does the LED bulb require the metal dome in the headlight housing?

That metal dome is part of the reflector assembly. It works in conjunction with the stock lens, the stock bulb and the stock reflector.

In changing the lens and the bulb, the metal dome may or may not be beneficial, the only way to know is to test it. We have not tested without it on the Softail (and we have only used the stock lens.

We have tested on several other headlights that do not have the dome, and it works just fine.

While it is not mechanically necessary for the dome to be installed with the DK LED, the only way to know if it is beneficial with your non-stock lens is to look at the beam at night, with and without it.

It generates substantially less heat than the stock bulb.

Have had the new DK LED for a month or so now. I haven't done much night riding yet but just knowing that I'm being seen better in the day time is an added plus. I'm liking it.

Yes, it is nice to know that!

For those that have the Dual Bulb Headlights, we now have LED Drop-in Bulbs for those also. You can see the details HERE.
