Default Intalled DK Customs drop in LED bulb in my Slim

Just installed the bulb, eight minutes start to finish including taking pics lol. Would have been quicker but I had to remove the bulb retaining spring hinge, if using a stock bulb you simply rotate the retaining spring. Pretty sure Fuel Moto sells this same bulb, I order from DK because they are closer to home and shipping is quicker... Anyway, here are some pics.

Back of stock bulb is small

Back of led bulb is much larger which made retaining spring install just a tad more involved than a stock bulb.

Installed bulb and spring together. This pic is hinge side

Hold down side

Attached both screws loosely on spring, positioned and then tightened. Make sure you have spring seated in groove on hinge side

This pic is in straight up daylight in my shop. That bulb is so bright it makes my shop lighting look dark...and I have pretty good shop lighting. Might have to adjust headlight tonight, going for a ride now. Those cages should have no trouble seeing me now!

Light is very bright, but a somewhat diffuse beam pattern even with an aftermarket lense and reflector. Takes some getting used to.

After some night riding I do agree it is different in partial lighting (city). Out on the back roads it is great, I can see much better. After the first ride I had to adjust my light down just a bit because the cages kept flashing brights at me. Adjusting the light down helped light up the road even more, the pattern was not diffused...it was simply to high in my opinion.

Looks like a good alternative to the $400 Daymaker...

I purchased LED headlamp and passing lamp bulbs for my Heritage and theyreally are effective at nite. Like you, I had to adjust the headlamp down so not to blast oncoming vehicles with the bright light. I'm digging it......

Really effective in daylight too. Rode over to see my brother, he said he could see me coming way down the road in broad daylight. He ordered two for his shark nose

Something wrong there...
While it sure looks like the same lamp, that page comes with a warning:

"..DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LISTING!!

Search Paradise Lights LLC listings and buy from Proven Seller With US Warranty..."

Here's the link you're redirected to (Paradise Lights LLC):
