I just wish I could find one in stock. They have 50 touring bikes and 3 softails on the floor. I understand the bagger trend is leading sales right now but damn 3 softails.

There is always room for a dealer to make money on a used bike. I received 2500- (10 year old used sportbike) on a trade and saw it on the floor for over 5000- the next time I went to that dealer. The only thing that they did to it was wash it because I had it serviced a month before.

If you got the money, go with a new '16 or leftover '15 especially if you plan on keeping it a long time. Dealers are dealing on the leftovers this time of year. That '03 has been around awhile and you never know what you're getting. Other thing that's kinda nice about the new ones is ABS. 10k is too high for an '03. As a matter of fact, so is $8k in my humble opinion.

You were looking for a new Softail so you obviously can afford one personally I'd wait until a15 or 16 model comes along, as has been said by Prot I'd steer clear of engine mods that the used bike has got chances are its been hammered, whats the milage on it ?

I'd go for a Fatboy S and do the usual to open that 110 up and get some more kick. Catelogue **** was never my thing. All those Willie G and other matching parts make the scoot look like a $10 ***** (my opinion). The S in Black Denim looks good.

Where in Florida are you? There are plenty of dealers maybe you could call a few others to see who has a 15 left?

It's true the cops don't look our way when we're speeding, thank goodness. The only time I check the speed limit is in residential areas, side roads or A1A.

A1A is an AMAZING ride. I've gone down it on the bike and used to take my bosses drop top jaguar down from Jax beach when I was living there.I'm over by Destin now and spend half my summers dodging minivans with out of state plates.

Mileage is at 19.6k and it just had the 20k service down. It's not the cheesy Willie g or flying eagles crap that's on it. Just a ton of chrome with I/E and bars. I pulled 20 gold eagles off my RK when I bought it.

Im talking to 2 other dealers within a hour of me today so hopefully they have something in stock. The fatboy s is tempting. The 110 would be nice till I bored the cylinders for a 117... I don't really do the stock thing for long. And I know that there are serious deals to be had on the 15 heritages with the price drop this year.

If you plan on boring the cases, why stop at 117" ?

Get the 2016's. On a long ride, I would love Cruise on my Heritage.

Ive done a few longer rides on my RK and never really missed not having cruise so its not as big of a deal breaker with me as it is with others. If I pick up a new one Id have to be in love with the color
