Default The test ride

test rode 4 bikes today, a switchback, a road king, a fatboy and a fatboy lo. Switchback was ok but not enough umph for me,plus I felt like a giant on it and it rode like a dyna which I already have. the roadking felt like a bigger version on the switchback. the fatboy was nice,it felt nice and just flowed through the turns, but the fatboy lo was the winner, the seating position was the best and i'm hooked to riding with the floorboards. So the search begins for the best priced and low mileage with 3 colors choice I like.

Very nice. I just went through a very similar decision. It came down to the Dyna Switchback and the Fatboy. Liked the Fatboy with all the chrome, although the Lo is also very nice. Anyway, pulled the trigger on the Fatboy and I am really and truly jazzed.

Keep us informed on your progress. It will be interesting to see what happens to the prices of older Softails after the 2016 changes.

looking at a couple lo's but the best priced one's would have to be shipped, which isn't a big deal. the suspence of the time for them to get here would kill me, lol

Softails simply are the best classic cruisers. Glad you enjoyed the ride

When I test rode, I went over as many bumps as I could find. It's the bumps that kill it for me on my dyna

Not meaning to hijack the OP's thread, but I was (and am) totally jazzed about the ride on the Fatboy.

The values will drop fast if the 2016's sell well out the gate. I'd say the cruise control and cam shafts will be the reason.
