Default 2011 Fatboy Oil Preference

What is your choice/preference of oil brands for your bikes? Are you going HD brand exclusively?

I use mobil1 in all my atvs. is this a good option for twins?

I use Mobile 1 15/50 in everything car, truck, bikes (multis & V-Twins), boat and lawnmower. Never a problem. Five quart jug at Costco $28.00.

Another oil thread...

Ok, I'll bite,

Ams 20-50 in engine, Ams Transmission in tranny, Ams Primary in primary.

I don't care about change intervals, 5k or 1 year for all three. I have a lot of $ invested, such a little expense to protect my investment.

The synthetic oil that my dealer recommends.

I remember a long time ago an auto mechanic telling me that he has serviced car engines with around 100,000 miles that used synthetic oil. He explained that the wear and tear on the parts was so slight due to the properties of the synthetic oil that the wear was negligible. I've used synthetic oil in my cars and motorcycles ever since.

I also change the sooner of every 5,000 or every year, whichever comes first. (Usually the latter, unfortunately).

Where do you purchase yours? I have looked in many automotive and big box stores and can not find it. Dealers are obviously going to carry their brand. Amazon has it for 73 for 6 qt. but wanted a local option.

Walmart stocks this but in a different row than the auto oils, they have a small motorcycle section where they stock the V-twin 20-50 and the Motorcycle 10-40 Mobil 1.
