I constantly bumped my boot heel against my exhaust, leading to additional elbow grease at clean-up time. Then one day I found HeelGuard.com...
(back then HD didn't offer anything). I purchased the turn-out style then and it worked great, I was very satisfied.
So for my 2016 Heritage (LOVE IT!), I went back to Carl Miles (Inventer/Owner) and he offered a new Double Turn-Down style:
HEEL GUARD, CARL MILES 2810R (RIGHT side), DOUBLE Turn-Down Style Chrome Heel Guard – 2009 or later Heritage SofTail Classic
(btw HD does offer heel guards now, but do not fit the half moon floorboards)
I received it Friday and installed today. I highly recommend it!

 

I like it. I really need to order something like that for my Road King.

 

those look nice...a few companies make stuff like that...I have a set from boot dr or bootdr.com that are made into a heavy duty set of mini footboards I got for my V rod.

 

I Went in a different direction,literally. I moved my floorboards outward 3/4" with a kit from Bakercustom.

 

looks neat and tidy. BTW..very nice 2016 heritage. How you finding the new motor?

 

I used this one from Brukus. I like it a lot and no holes to be drilled. It seems to fit any type floorboard. Just another type out of the many offered.
