Imagine what bycicle tires would feel like on our bikes.
Fatter increases stability, but will slow in the curves
But as mentioned, should add a bit of clearence. And lets face it... You dont wanna road race on a cruiser, so its all good

Take the 200 tire all day long over the smaller one for sure now that I've ridden on both. The 130 was more agile in the turns though naturally. I just didn't like it as much for higher speed cruising. His bike felt a little squirrely to me between 60 - 80 mph.
Yeah, and really squirrely at triple digit mph. I don't feel like I lost any turning or maneuverability, can still hit the curves as hard as I care to on a softail

Something is wrong with the bike then and it is not the narrow tire.

That looks great on your bike. I love the 200 size tires. Put one one my '05LR and just did the 180 on my '07SG..

You need to change the title of the thread. You now own a Softail Fat.

Like a loose steering stem or under inflated tires
Thinks to keep in check

Haha, I almost got a fat boy lo but I got a heck of a deal on this slim. 2013 model I got it in summer of 2014. Factory demo with 26 miles, never titled and they included a warranty until 2015. Got it out the door for less than any new dyna they had on the floor....loved the spoked wheels, just didn't like the skinny rear tire.

Wide rear tires handle fine, at least up to a 240.

Good call...when I rode it I was picking it up from a Craigslist purchase so this could very well be the case if the tires were under inflated. We're in the process of going over the whole bike now so def one of the things we will check.

Front ends take quite a beating, so if you hear any rotor resonation, the forks might have twisted.
Loosiening the front axle and calliper then retighten from the axle first then the calliper usually fixes this. Just in case (;
