Thanks I appreciate all the comments. It's been fun doin this one. I've had lots of folks that ask "What year is that" and I usually get a real blank look when I reply 2016.

Well as of today the last of the evil chrome is gone, at least the big stuff. The Jiffystand is now black. Only things left really are the oil lines. I'll have to think about that. Having worked for Uncle Sam for many many years, he doesn't spend money on chrome since every thing you use came from the lowest bidder.....

Geez I'd have to think about the cost a bit since I was able to do most of it with paint. The only items that cost a bit were the ones that had to be powdercoated. Paint works great on anything that does not have a wear factor like the jiffystand (aka kickstand). I probably only have about $100 to $125 invested plus a large chunk of my time. All The shift linkage and associated parts are painted. $5 worth of paint goes a long way.

I got an opportunity to see Gunnys ride, it is awesome. His attention to detail is unbelievable, can't wait to see the remaining mods for your ride. Great vision and work Gunny….

Have you thought about copper oil lines ? Certainly would give it a period look.
