Hi, i have an old V&H 3inch twin slash slip-on for sporster which is lying spare with me from my old bike. I have a fatboy now on stock and i was wondering if i can use sportster's slipon on fatboy. Is the only difference between 3inch twin slash slip-on for sportster and softail is the placement of screw points for fastening on header pipes or are there other differences as well ?

if the slipon's are exactly the same from the guts may be i can move the screw points to fit the fatboy and install ?

 

if the diameter is the same they should work. Only one way to find out.

 

Been there done similar. If the headpipe diameter is the same the rest is just measuring, cutting, bending and drilling flat pieces of metal.
