I'm assuming you mean the strut covers as the struts themselves are hidden underneath, and I can't see how they would get scratched.
Either way, it's not hard at all, provided you've got the right torx bit, and a torque wrench to put the new ones back on again. The trickiest bit might be the removal and reinstallation of the turn signals. I can't remember if you can thread the plug back through the fender holes or if you will need to cut and resplice the wires to move them onto the new strut covers.
