V-Twin makes a frame cover but your idea is a great one. Please post up how it turns out.

Is this a sprung seat, or did you rig up a pogo mount?

Its a pogo mount, i'll update with pics when I'm doing it, it will all depend on how tight the seat pan is against the frame, but if that fails i could use it as a template for knocking something up out of glass fibre.

Maybe they cheaped out & just went with one hole.

Here's an example with three holes from JPCycles

It certainly would've made it easier to fit with extra holes, also the quality of the one I've got is quite poor in my opinion.

Excellent. Curious to see how the pogo will mount as well.

The fiberglass solution is a good one, I've seen it done many times. There is gent in Singapore that makes a fiberglass cover for several folks on the heritage springer forum that went to sprung seats, he's inexpensive and good but the shipping is a killer.

Here is a similar idea for a cover you can get on eBay.

Eager to see how you get this sorted out. I think your pogo seat is a great add to your WLA look alike.

I took some pics of a WLA at an auction, I love the looks. I'll post some pics in case you would like some inspiration for future mods. I'd love to see the responses you might get for a gun scabbard :

Thanks for the pics Joe. I used to own a 1942 WLA so know how cool they are.

Project looking good and a creative idea to use the stock seat pan.
Heck, the stock seat is cheap enough to buy used and carve up to your desired shape.

Good looking seat the Corbin Gentry.

V-Twin Manufacturing has a huge catalogue and they own several of the distributers that they conveniently recommend. A lot of their stuff is Chinese made to "close enough" standards.

Just like you, I had to cobble some stuff together to make it all fit.

Yep Chinese crap !!

Anyway I took my jigsaw to the seat base when I got in from work, think with a bit of fettling it will work out ok. Need to clean all the glue off to see the overall look & if it looks ok I will get it covered in a thick leather to match my bags.

I honestly felt like I was sitting on top of the tank with my stock deluxe seat. This looks like it would be 100 times worse! I agree it looks really cool but I'm not sure I could get over the seating position.
