What did you use in place of the v-twin hardware?
Also, on the v-twin hardware the front mount uses the tank bolt and the rear mounts are located where the ground wires and ground bracket are placed. What did you do about the ground wires?

Before I swapped out my pillion for a luggage rack I could carry a passenger. I never rode back there myself, but I don't know why it would be any different from a ride on the back of a Crossbones, since that was the origin of the pillion.

In my case, I only ride solo since the OL has her own bike now. But when she did ride on the back,
we used the Butty Buddy https://www.buttybuddy.com/

Here's a more-recent pic of my set-up...

First, Both your bikes are sexy as hell!! I just love the old iron and this set up help bring that look

Thanks It looks like it wouldn't interfere if I slid the stock pad back on when we did ride. I think it looks great and would add to my heritage classic, then fishtail. If I do it may dads got some old panhead/flatty seat he said I could look through

I like the "using the stock seat pan" idea, should look great.

That looks like a great idea! I have a similar WWII Military theme 2007 Springer Classic project under way but I am having a local shop help me with it. Unfortunately I just sold my original seat but I bought a frame cover from eBay. Hopefully it will work out as well.

Old photo of my bike with the solo seat. It's in the shop to get militarized makeover.
