For comfort, I would say the Mustang Wide Vintage.
With the backrest (optional)
I've had numerous seats over the years and that is
(by far) the most comfortable.
Mustang seats are probably the most comfortable. I ended up with the Le Pera Maverick Daddy Long Legs on my Deluxe which pushed me back at least 2" to 3" and down further into the bike. It's very comfortable and also gives your back a bit of support. Ron
I am 5 11 I need a comfort seat for long rides that put me back and help the tail bone
2008 softAil deluxe
I picked up a Fat Boy seat off another board member for maybe $45. Sits me back a couple inches and lower. The longest day I spent on it was about 9.5 hours/650 miles. Fits my 2008 Deluxe, was cheap, and moves me back & down. I'm sure the seats listed above might be more comfortable (subjective) but cost a lot more...
The dealer gave me a sundowner (HD) seat when I bought my 2008 deluxe because my wife wasn't comfortable on the stock pillion. The one piece sundowner seat is slightly lower and deeper, giving support to my lower back.
the pillion seat is very comfortable even for 8-9 hour days in the saddle. The trim on the seat matches my bags and tourpak. I still like and use the stock seat when riding solo.
