G Dub good thread. Keep posting up your progress.

There are a few items that I think give old school look:

1. Sprung or Pogo seat. You can get a kit from HD for Sprung (they go for sale here as well as Crossbones guys convert to other seats), V-Twin has the pogo look, there's threads for both on here, the pogo thread is current.

2. Front hubcap. I have a chrome one but you could sand blast one and paint it gloss black to match your bike.

Regarding your primary cover, I like those you posted. I'd go black. I personally don't like the sand cast look and I really wouldn't like it piecemeal.

Thanks for the insight Joe. Always a pleasure to have you around. Wealth of knowledge.

1. Im witchya...a given. Not only kickass authentic, but more comfortable for long rides (I hear). I'm contemplating whether to spring (myeh, heh, heh) for the real Harley 1925 seat, or if the knock-offs are as good. Any insights are appreciated.

2. I like the idea on the hubcap, but I'm going a little more old school minimalist. I'm not even repainting. Want the bike to look old school and wear naturally. I'm stupid like that.

On the primary...I'm really torn on the spend. But if I do go, you and hspring03 have convinced me to go black.

SO...to remove some suspense...and to give you guys something to laugh at, I'm going to post the current total plan for the bike. I'll include those items where I'm on the fence and let all you cats chime in.

Thanks for tuning in. My idiocy should be quite entertaining to y'all.

I can't tell if that exhaust is big shots or long shots but if you want to sell it I'd be interested for my 07 Heritage. I assume they have O2 ports. PM if you want to sell.

Edit: nevermind.....just saw you commented in my WTB thread.

I know. I know

But yo know what Dub?
If you play your cards right, you could make a killin on these.
I'm never one to rush on things, as in this case. You might want to consider it your idea and run with it.
If things work out well between you and your builder, it may turn out to be a great partnership based on what is all old, is new again.
It's definitely gonna be the next big thing!

Man! Seriously. Let me know what you want to be rid of. Maybe I can store it for a while. Or, you know...put it on a bike even.
