Unless you're a meter-maid in Chicago, don't do it! I ride with a guy in his 80's that needs a walker or cane to get around and he still rides his Ultra Glide and a BMW 1200 GS. He says he'll die before "going the route of the fat and lazy." I have to agree. If a person has a disability and having a third wheel is the only way they can ride, a sidecar shows some self respect still IMHO. But, those rolling trike/couches are embarrassing. And those CanAm things are NOT motorcycles and should go play with themselves!!!

 

How about a Polaris Slingshot?

 

There is a bolt on attachment that acts sort of like training wheels. Has two full size tires, luggage compartment - sort of looks like a trike. You can quickly remove it, and you have your bike back.
May be something to consider for long trips.

Thanks for the ideas. Canams look weird. A sidecar is a possibility as is the bolt on kit with the wheels.
