Yeah thats the new shinko 270 tyre on the rear and Avon speedmaster on the front. A few things I need to shave off the frame. But for now I'm going to get the engine work sorted, so I'll pull the heads and manifold off and leave it with my brother who will be doing the port polish and port match work, and I'll throw a few parts in the mail to go to the engraver. While all that's going on I'll be stuck into the night train making the last few changes to finish it off, so hopefully by the time I've finished it I'll have the parts back and ready to put the motor back together and hook in

Got a bunch more parts sent off to the engraver.
Heads and s&s manifold off for the port and polish and port match work. As well as the thunderjet tapped into the super e carb. Dropping in some new SE tappets while I'm in there as well, may as well while I'm at this point

Hell yea! I love engines tore down. I told someone this today and they told me I was crazy. Pretty much the concept is that an engine torn down is with being updated/rebuilt or being hopped up to some degree. No one ever said "let me take this bitchin set of Woods out and put the stockers back in." Clean engine Ink. Can't wait to see what comes back after seein that seat man!

Haha yeah I must admit I get hooked on upgrading motors. Any one that says Ultima engines are junk has never pulled one down, these are very nicely made, and use some quality components inside. Lifters are the only things I'd change in them. After measuring the bores, this is the 100 cube. I can use the Ultima 4" bore and Pistons to bring it up to a 107, but I'd rather save the money for a 120+ cube motor later on down the track. For now with the head and manifold work I think 115hp will be in reach even with the power robbing pipes I'll be building for it. It made 106hp with short shots with no baffles as it was before. 110+hp with all the weight loss it will poke along just fine for me to begin with

Jay no wheel chock, the frame is sitting on blocks of wood

Yeah splatt they're pretty solid motors hey. After seeing the insides of this one if be more then confident in buying another one when the time comes. Of course a much larger displacement lol

looks like a 127ci is the biggest they make. But that alone should be enough to satisfy I'm sure
I enjoyed this little read; http://www.hotbikeweb.com/midwest-ul...-engine-review
