Well, another setback...not necessarily a bad one. Gonna bite the bullet and get my tins painted. I'm stoked about it if we can pull it off. My buddy will lay down the basecoat and then I'm going to do my letting on the tank sides in gold leaf. Prayin it turns out how it is in my head. Only thing I'm concerned with is the pinstriping around the lettering. I don't know of anyone around here could pull it off and I would hate to have a kool setup get ruined over some funky *** lines. I guess we shall see.
So...been a long time since I updated, been away I guess you could say lol. Anyway, sneak peek of the paint n sorry for the crappy pics, **** weather here.
Very nice man, love the colour choice. This brown, all that black...will we see a couple small brass pieces? I'm actually thinking Indian larry brass pushrod tube collars would look great against that black with the brown. I got a set for the old heritage chop
Thanks guys. Definitely brass. Not overkill but the color was based on my decision to accent with brass. Pushrod collars, pegs n odd n end stuff like nuts n whatever else. Hard to find parts in brass. Mostly run of the mill stuff. Anyway, after I got the tins back I realized I should have held off. Don't get me wrong, I love it man, looks killer. But I should have went ahead n cut the frame horns n done the rigid mount fender n Indian Larry tank lol. Now I'll have to paint it twice bc I love the color
Well, spent a good but of time on her today. Front end back together, tanks mounted and exaust back on. Still a ways to go. Holding up on gold leaf for now since I have to cut the horns n make a fender n seat pan. Stoked about hiding the wiring in the front of the frame though.
Finally got a decent daytime pic of the new paint (even though it is under the shed.) Anyone have any tips on a good fender to start with for rigid mounting? I don't want a bolt on, just a decent quality fender bc I run the guts outta this bike n Louisiana isn't known for smooth roads.
