Yeah I see guys worrying all the time, under your seat is not water proof, when you wash your bike guess what, water can and will get up under there. They are a sealed unit, but aren't designed to go deep sea diving but they are designed to take splashes of water no worries

All thanks to you for the headlight man, Im glad I had this done on one of my favourite style headlights. Probably wouldn't of happened if my only option was to buy one new

Stoked I could help bud. I like the light but once I had it it didn't fit the style I was goin for. When I saw your Night Train build I was like if anyone gets it, he'll be the one to do somethin bitchin with it lol. I am more than happy to donate to the cause, so to speak.

So, today headed in from work I bought another piece of metal...square stock this time. I hauled *** home to throw it in the vice - drill, tap and twist it up. This is what I have so far. Pretty happy with it but there are a few things that could have been different. Not finished though. Still have to bend it and figure out how I'll mount it. Pretty sure the stock shift arm is cast so welding will be a bitch

Thanks. I'm somewhat worried about weight, but hopefully it won't be an issue. Something I am curious about...I'd like to powder coat it black but have the edges a brass finish. Found a down tube done this way. I don't know how to pull that off though. I'd put up a pic but can't figure it out

In regular 2 pac paint I could see this work by painting it black the carefully running sand paper down over the edges,?it would take very much at all to reveal the brass, then clear coat the lot. Powder coat is very very thick, you could do it but man it's be a lot more time sanding, then use a clear coat powder coat

So for anyone that may or not run across this...my clutch cable came in from Exile. It's a Barnett cable they make for Exile, nice quality, very heavy duty. Only thing I'm stumped on is this black plastic dowel pin it came with? Best I can figure is that it acts as a spacer between the cable eye and the bolt to keep the drag down. Ink? Any insight?

Looks like the pin that holds the cable to the clutch lever.....

Thanks brother. Doesn't seem like much work but I busted *** on it. Eyeballs center of the square to drill and tap threads. Not easy to hold a torch and 2 crescent wrenches lol
