Default so i told myself i wasn't going to mod this bike...

yeah right.. i bought it at the end of 14 and i did leave it alone till spring of 15. some powder coating and an exhaust and it all started from there. now after a bunch of mods i find myself looking for more to do.

i do know that the triple trees are coming off this winter for powder coat.

you kidding me?? i said the same thing when I purchased my 16 BO last week. I was going to ride it for a season and then upgrade piece by piece. that didn't last one week. Already have a cobra exhaust, fuelpak3, LED front/rear turn signals, chrome adjustable levers (very cool) and some other odds and ends. one week is all it took. I have to stop going to the dealer.. every time I walk in there i come out with a shopping bag.

next is an LED ligth bar to replace that ugly, don't know why they do this, reflector that pretends to be a rear brake light! yuk.

I'll not mod my bike by the time I'm old and buy a heritage or a bagger. Everything else needs is fair game!

Just bought a 16 Fatboy 2 weeks ago. Im itching to mod it so bad. Probably gonna go with Arlen Ness Inverted air cleaner, Bassani Firesweep exhaust and FP3 tuner to start.

Famous last words "I'm not going to mod my bike". I said that when I picked up my 2002 S/S back in 2011, $10K later and I'm still not done.

A friend told me that most guys with HD's are "only 2k away from finishing up".

I tell myself color changing via powdercoating is not a mod especially if the chrome was "scratched". Or maybe that's what I tell my wife every third or fourth part she actually notices the color change on.

The problem is gets out lf hand quickly. Especially when you see someone elses bike that has a mod you like and then you convenience yourself its needed. Same as my wife with shoes.

Once you start (and everybody does), you are never done. You might think you are done, but that will change. You are never done. Ron 😎
