Ordered a new seat for a 2005 heritage flstci. It came with a mount with two holes in the back of the fender, Mine mounts on the sides of the frame with no holes in the fenders. I was told by seat maker someone must have filled in the holes. Mines a factory paint. Can someone tell me why some mount differently so I can explain to the seat manufacturer. I could be wrong but looked on ebay and saw both styles. Thanks for any help.

 

2000-2006 all mount like your original. They sent you the wrong seat.
